There are many, complex legislative provisions – both historical and current – that are relevant and applicable to conveyancing in New Zealand. With my thorough working knowledge and experience of them including the Land Transfer Act, Property Law and the Land Act to name a few – including the resolution of difficult issues like Maori land, complex titles, adverse possession and customary land use – I am able to advise and help clients and other lawyers.

Transaction experience

• Providing advice to clients and other lawyers across the whole range of complex conveyancing issues, using my specialised knowledge of land law and over 30 years’ experience with LINZ.
• Providing expert evidence in cases heard before the District and the High Courts on matters relating to property and conveyancing issues.
• Advising clients on the preparation and the registration of applications for reclamation, accretion and adverse possession.
• Providing advice and presenting at seminars on land law including Maori land issues and problems relating to the registration of land law instruments.
